The Carters Did NOT Disappoint!!!
Grizfolk's notes and dance moves were on point as always, and I am a HUGE fan. I danced and sang until my voice was gone and my feet were sore! My sister and I missed her Mrs. Carter tour last year but were able to see her I Am Tour in 2009. I am not a very big rap fan, but I was pleasantly surprised with Jay Z's performance. He engaged the audience and his enthusiasm was contagious. The On the Run Tour did NOT disappoint us either way. He had me waving my hands and throwing up my Roc sign right along with him. As always, I only listen to the commercial/edited versions of rap played in syndication if at all. My complaints about the show were the late start (show was scheduled to start at 8 but they didn't come out until about 9:15 or later), the fact that Bey didn't dance as much as she normally does, and the fact the show was only two hours long. Although I enjoyed the "movie clips," I feel this took up about 30 or more minutes that could have been a few more songs. Still, I did thoroughly enjoy the show.
